Message from the board about fiber optic

Pine Lake Neighbors,

You might remember hearing that Amherst Communications is bringing Fiber Optic internet service to our area. They are planning to start work at Gilbert and Pine Lake in October of this year.

In the meantime, another company has begun to lay its Fiber Optic lines in our area with the same goal in mind. The orange markings you are seeing are from SGBFiber. They are a local company out of Waushara that plans to service Twin and Pine Lake, to start with. They have begun digging along N Pine Lake Lane out to K.

When Amherst Communications starts, they will dig new trenches and add their own lines.

Who would have expected we would have two Fiber Optic Companies providing internet in our neck of the woods! Of course it is up to each homeowner to decide if they want to make changes to their internet, or whether or not they want to work with either of these companies.

The PLPOA board just wants to keep you updated with what’s going on around Pine Lake.

Reach out to either/both companies if you want more information. There is nothing you have to do before they actually offer service.
